Water Sky Stone Clay
The Pharmacy Gallery & Art Space presents our first opening in 2024 entitled: " Water Sky Stone Clay". This new exhibit will consist of art created by gallery members: A.J. Fyfe, Bernie White Hatcher, Delinda Chapman, Diane Schleyhahn, Edward Haber, Elijah Miller, James Elliott, Janet Sgro, Jason Albert LaBonte, Joan Burmeister, Julie Brown, Marco Mulder, Matthew Schultz, Mark Mangiaracina, Mary Ellen Strack, Mary Finch, Monica Hohimer, Pam Hamilton, Phil Locascio, Samra Aslam, Stacey van Bogaert (writer), Teri Zee, Tucky Reynolds, Zach Adams, and Abigail Flemming (Emerging Artist). The opening event is Friday, February 16th & Saturday, February 17th from 6-9pm. Please join us for live music on Friday evening provided by Rodrigues-Sier Jazz Duo. Admission is free along with complementary snacks and refreshments.
ARTIST TALKS
Four artists from the Pharmacy are going to speak about their artwork. Julie Brown, Delinda Chapman, Marco Mulder and Matt Schultz will each speak briefly about their artwork, their stylings, and their influences. Please join us for this rare event. Matt Schultz will be giving away free CDs of his musical project, The Division, for all who attend.
Artist Talks
Artist Talks will begin in 2024 featuring Mark Mangiaracina, Jason Albert LaBonte, and Pam Hamilton. Held in conjunction with The Pharmacy Gallery's "Open Studio" night Friday, January 5th, 2024 beginning at 6pm. Join our resident artists in their studios for a drink, a chat, and an opportunity to purchase local art.

Please join us for the opening of PORTRAITS! Featuring guest artist, photographer, Zach Adams. Hours are Friday, November 3rd, & Saturday, November 4th, from 6-9pm. Refreshments and music provided. Please join us for our art opening of Lights & Shadows, featuring the artwork of our emerging artist, Elijah Miller. Elijah has been working very hard for the last six months in our Emerging Artist Program creating an excellent body of work with the guidance of Pharmacy member mentors. Elijah is our third EAP artist to complete this most successful program for emerging artists. Drinks and refreshments provided.

The Pharmacy Gallery & Art Space presents BLACK, WHITE, & MORE. The members art opening begins on Friday, Sept. 9th from 6-9pm, followed by our annual FASHION RUNWAY EVENT on Saturday, Sept. 10th. Doors open at 6pm with the runway event starting at 7pm. This year we are including SUNDAY CAFE on Sunday, Sept. 11th from 11-2pm. This is a time to meet, greet, and shop with members and guest designers. This years guest designers include SEVERYN BEEKMAN, BLAKE DETHERAGE, CLARE FRACHEY, JUSTINE KUZNIAR (BUSHMEYER), HANNAH MALONE, ELIJAH MILLER, REBECCA OSLAND, DALE PERRY, BRI SKEELS, and VERNA STALLONE. This exhibit by artists members is on exhibit through November 26th, 2022.

The Pharmacy Gallery & Art Space presents our third Fashion Show entitled, MOVEMENT. Included with the original works of art provided by gallery members, a runway walk will begin at 7pm. Designers for the runway come from members and nonmembers which have been invited from our community to participate. A $5 donation is suggested at the door for this event.
Saturday evening, we are celebrating the completion of our first Emerging Artist Program with Mark Mangiaracina. Check out his body of work along with our members pieces and enjoy our reception. No admission fee suggested.

The Pharmacy Gallery & Art Space, Inc will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary with a kick off on the weekend of June 11th & 12th. Each night, we will be open from 6-9pm with snacks and drinks and live music. What a year to celebrate!!! From our beginnings at Pasfield & South Grand, to 5th and Cook and now our present location at 623 E. Adams, we have strived to cultivate and celebrate expressions of multidimensional artists. We have diligently worked to be a catalyst and forum for advancing, discovering and connecting through contemporary art. And we have sought and continue to seek to enrich and educate the community through innovative cultural events. Pharmacy members will have all new artwork on display, as well as, a recent art installation produced by members, children from surrounding schools, the elderly and our patrons. “Tranquility in Flight”, composed of over 3500 origami doves with messages of peace and hope for our city, our country and our world, delicately sweeps through the entire gallery. A must see! Please join us and celebrate with us!
TRANQUILITY IN FLIGHT
TRANQUILITY IN FLIGHT: A MULTISENSORY INSTALLATION 5-8PM
On Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 our project, using origami doves, was completed and can be viewed at the Pharmacy Gallery & Art Space. Beginning in May, Pharmacy members have been orchestrating this event: Diane Schleyhahn, Jason LaBonte and A.J. Fyfe are leading the install of 3500+ white origami paper doves carefully folded by our community from school children to the elderly. At the gallery, we have been collecting the doves and have built metal scaffolding to suspend them from the ceiling which will weave through the air over the studio space, over the artwork and over our community looking up. The Opening Event will include original musical compositions and dance performances to enhance this experience. This breathtakingly beautiful art installation of delicate white doves will begin their group flight on Saturday, May 22nd in harmony, light and peace it will continue through the summer.

The opening for LIFE IN THE ABSTRACT took place on March 5th & 6th from 6-9pm. This exhibit will be on display until June 4th, 2021. We are open Fridays and Saturdays from 12-6pm, Stop in and take in the many wonderful works of art created by our members.

TRANSFORMATION OCTOBER 23RD & 24TH, 2020
TRANSFORMATION , which opened October 23rd, will be on display through February 2021 during regular gallery hours or by appointment at info@thepharmacygallery.com. This opening like all of our events is partially funded by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council through federal funds provided by the National Endowment of the Arts and with funding from the Springfield Area Arts Council.
